It also had a sort of afterburner system called S.L.A.M, which allowed the ship to excel at hit-and-run attacks.ĭespite its advances, it wasn't a complete replacement for the Star Wing, since it lacked ion cannons. This ship class also featured a copied version of the TIE Advanced x1's hyperdrive, rated at 3.5. While every loadout of the Xm-1 has forty advanced concussion missiles, the general-purpose launchers were capable of firing standard concussion missiles (20 per launcher), advanced proton torpedoes (15 per launcher), heavy rockets (10 per launcher), and proton bombs (5 per launcher). The Missile Boat's primary weapons were four high-capacity ordinance launchers, with two being advanced concussion missile launchers and the other two-being general-purpose. The Missile Boat was originally introduced to help deal with the threat of TIE Defenders produced by the rogue Imperial Admiral, Zaarin, and advanced targetting. To help snare enemy fighters, the Xm-1 also had a tractor beam weapon with a somewhat larger duration than that of the TIE/D Defender. However, it still retained a single medium laser cannon that can be set to rapid-fire. Unlike its predecessor, it relied mainly on warheads instead of laser cannons when dogfighting. The Missile Boat was bulkier than its predecessor, the Alpha-class Xg-1 Star Wing.
The Xm-1 Missile Boat was a heavy fighter/bomber utilized by the Astragon Navy. An Xm-1, showing its primary general-purpose warhead launchers.
